Last week, former lead FBI lawyer, James Baker, reportedly told investigators that there was another source feeding information to the FBI before the agency launched an investigation into the Trump campaign. That means before there was a FISA warrant.
The source has been identified as Perkins Coie attorney Michael Sussmann, a former DOJ prosecutor and a top lawyer with the Democratic National Committee and the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign.
In the words of Devin Nunes:
“When Rosenstein appointed the special counsel, the lead investigators knew there was no evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russians. So what has the special counsel been doing this whole time?… It’s pretty clear now that [it’s] an investigation in search a crime.?Because the same thing that the Trump campaign was investigated for, colluding with Russians, we now know that it was the Democratic Party colluding with Russians and feeding it to the top levels of the FBI, the general counsel of the FBI.”
Just to be clear, that top FBI counsel was Mr. Baker, who reported directly to James Comey.

Up next this week: Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein meets in a closed-door session with House investigators to explain the recent New York Times bombshell. According to sources in the Andrew McCabe camp, Mr. Rosenstein wanted to wear a wire and secretly record President Trump to gain information that would lead to his removal via the 25th Amendment.
Um, what country do we live in?
Regardless of your political persuasion, you must be feeling a little queasy at this moment. These unprecedented activities, if proven to be true, completely undermine the Rule of Law and the democratic process. President Trump now has no choice but to declassify those documents that will shed further light on the true nature and depth of this unfolding investigation.
