It will serve our national consciousness this Memorial Day to consider the sacrifices made by generation upon generation of American service men and women. Those who have selflessly performed their duty whenever and wherever called, fighting and dying on battlefields around the globe.

Q: What did they die for?

This is not a question of the merits of any particular conflict or even War in general. Those armchair debates are the domain of keyboard commandos and the safe harbor of university and online salons. Real warriors have no such luxury.

Indeed, America’s guards, soldiers, pilots, sailors and marines willingly pay the ultimate price for their brothers and sisters in arms. They sacrifice to preserve a way of life for their families and communities back home.

They die in the line of Duty.

For the American Warrior, there is only a question of honoring one’s Oath to protect and defend the Constitution for the United States. In real terms, this means the Constitutional Republic, secured through a Democratic process and held in check by Rule of Law.

It is through the lens of Honor that we should remember their sacrifice. It is also the backdrop against which we should view the ongoing coup against the duly elected POTUS. Bear in mind that those central to this affair also took an Oath: Hillary Clinton, James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, Loretta Lynch, Valerie Jarrett, and yes, Barack Obama.

Oaths do not expire. Yet for some, morality does.

This Memorial Day, remember that our fallen American Warriors did not forego their lives so those entrusted to governance could execute a self-serving agenda, kept secret from the American People.

Above all, they did not die so that Oath breakers could illegally exploit military intelligence assets to undermine American democracy in a national election, perhaps the most sacred privilege of United States citizenship and a fundamental necessity of self-government.

Now is the time to do your Civic Duty and demand justice on behalf of those who so nobly served on behalf of our country.

Have a safe Memorial Day.
